Teach a class: quizzes, hands up and certificates

Quiz your viewers, invite a raised hand on screen, share resources, take private requests and send certificates of attendance.

Switch on what your class needs

  1. 1

Open Platforms and your watch page’s settings. Under On the page, switch on Raise a hand, Private requests and Notes as you need them. They are off for a new page.

  2. 2

Add Resources: a title and a link for each (the slides, a worksheet, the reading). Only people the page lets in see them.

  3. 3

For a register and certificates, switch on Ask for a name and email, then Certificates of attendance, and pick how long someone must watch.

During the class

  • In Poll on Live, pick Quiz, write the question and its answers, and press the number beside the right one. Start quiz; viewers never see the answer until you show it. Close the quiz, then Reveal the answer: each viewer is told whether they got it right, and how many they have right on your page.

  • Hands up and private requests arrive in Questions on Live. Invite on screen sends a raised hand a guest link on their watch page; they join with their camera, and you put their seat in a scene. Not now lets it go.

  • A private request is your team’s alone: never on the page. Mark it Done, or hide it.

  • Viewers with Notes on keep their own notes beside the stream, on their own device, and download them.

After the class

  • In Past streams, open the stream: Who came lists each registered viewer and how long they watched, and Download gives you the spreadsheet.

  • About half an hour after the stream, everyone who watched long enough is emailed their certificate, a page they print or save as a PDF.

  • The stream plays again on your page under Watch again, with chapters, unless you switch Replays off.
